Blog - Cicloturisme al Delta de l’Ebre

Do you enjoy cycling? With children? The Ebro Delta is possibly one of the best places for cycling tourism, and here is why.

The Ebro Delta has an almost completely flat landscape, making it an ideal destination for cycling tourism. Between cycling paths and bike lanes, the Ebro Delta offers a network of almost 1,000 kilometres crossing the wonderful Natural Park.

You can choose between different itineraries that vary in distance and scenery. All you need to do is select a cycling route according to the time (and energy) you want to dedicate to it.

Along the different routes, we cycle around lagoons, cross rice fields, visit museums and stop at several viewpoints to observe the large number of birds living in this spectacular landscape, which changes throughout the seasons.

If we visit in April, for example, we will be able to see the flooded rice fields, which are a great attraction for many bird species.

Exploring the Ebro Delta by bike is the best way to discover this natural area, with breathtaking and completely flat landscapes offering cycling routes that the whole family will enjoy.

Useful tips for cyclists

To complete these cycling routes, we remind you that wearing a helmet is essential, and we recommend carrying a backpack with food and water. We also advise bringing repair equipment for possible punctures, a mobile phone, a camera and, of course, binoculars to observe the birds in the lagoons.

Finally, we recommend doing the routes in the morning or late afternoon, avoiding the hottest hours of the day and always using sun protection and mosquito repellent.

Spring is the ideal season to explore the Ebro Delta by bike. The rice fields are flooded, temperatures are still pleasant, and you can peacefully enjoy the spectacular scenery at your own pace. acular al vostre ritme.
